Picture-in-Picture (PiP) lets you keep a small floating window of your meeting on top of other applications. This way, you can stay engaged while working on something else. With PiP, you can:
- Keep the meeting visible while switching tabs or applications
- Follow participant video while taking notes or checking documents
- Access key in-meeting controls (mute, camera, chat, etc.)
- See notifications like chat messages or join requests
PiP is only available on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and the Desktop App*
Start Picture-in-Picture
- Join or start a meeting.
- Click or tap the layout button in the top right.
- Select Open Picture-in-Picture.
- A small version of your meeting window appears in the corner of your screen.
- Drag the window to move it.
- Resize the window by dragging the edges.

What You Can Do in Picture-in-Picture
While in PiP mode, you can still:
- Turn your microphone or camera on or off
- Raise or lower your hand
- Share a reaction
- Leave or end the meeting
- View what you are presenting as it appears to others
Tip: To start presenting, open your presentation first in the full meeting window, then switch to PiP.
Return to the Full Meeting
- In the PiP window, select Back to tab in the top right corner.
- Or, click on the meeting tab in your browser or app.
- Ending the meeting from PiP will also end it in the main window.
Notifications in Picture-in-Picture
- Raised hands appear in PiP.
